This project started as an extension of the model making techniques I first started utilizing in the Englehart Depot, combining printed digital textures with paper and plastic details, this time to create a boxcar. Starting with a small battery powered "Train in a Tin," I wrapped the included boxcar with chipboard, onto which the laser-printed textures were laminated. The project then became an effort to duplicate the train in two other scales, scaling the car up to HO scale and down to N scale, and painting similar engines to match the paint scheme I had applied to the battery powered locomotive.
