During three consecutive summer jobs with the Jefferson City, Missouri Community Development department, working under the City Planner, I scanned, filed, and created a database of three decades of planning and zoning site plans and case files. During my last summer, I had the opportunity to help create a guidebook for the local Main Street Historic District, that could be used by planning staff to help homeowners in the area understand what would and wouldn't be acceptable to the Planning & Zoning Commission when seeking approval of alterations to their properties.
