Similarly to the Kansas Statehouse, a multi-year total restoration of the Oklahoma State Capitol was begun in 2015 with TreanorHL participating in a design-build team tasked with the exterior work. The large bronze ceremonial doors at the south entrance were in need of repairs, and I participated in early assessment work on their detailing and condition. The doors proved to be an exercise in careful investigative disassembly and interpretation of the original 1914 construction documents as a team with the contractors who would be performing the restoration work.
